The “Watch” tab is being replaced by the new “Video” tab.
The Video tab is where you’ll find ALL videos on Facebook: Reels, long-form videos, and Live content.
The same editing tools from Reels to create dynamic videos for Feed are getting added as well.
It will be easier to find videos on popular topics and trends and engage with recommended Instagram Reels directly on Facebook.
2. Instagram Updates That Impact Marketers

Instagram API updates – Business accounts have been able to publish content via third-party apps using the Instagram Content API for a while, not but Creators’ accounts. Meta has updated that by opening access to Creator account holders.
Other updates covered:
- Content Ranking (algorithms)
- Instagram Ads
- Updates to broadcast “Channels”
- Reels – Users (US only) can download Reels (on public accounts) to share to other platforms
3. Introducing Threads: A New Way to Share With Text

Meta’s new Threads App recently launched – have you created an account yet? It’s rumored to be Meta’s competitor to Twitter; time will tell how successful it is…
You can download the app “Threads, an Instagram app” from the App Store or from your Instagram account (you must have an Instagram account to join Threads).
Make sure you have the latest version of the Instagram app installed on your phone.
- Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
- Tap the three lines in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap “Threads.”
- Follow the instructions to join.
NOTE: If you try Threads and don’t like it DO NOT delete your Threads account! Since it’s tied to your Instagram account, you’ll be deleting that too!!
