Facebook Shops for Your Business | Weekly Resources

Facebook Shops for Your Business | Weekly Resources

Do you sell physical products? Then you may want to check out Facebook Shops to see if they are a good fit for your business.

Check out the information in this week’s top resource, and get updates from Twitter, Snapchat, and more below.

1. Facebook Shops: What it is and how to drive more social sales

SproutSocial

A Facebook Shop acts as an online storefront for your Facebook Page, so if your business sells products this could be a good option for you.

Important notes from the guide:

    • With Shops, you can upload a product inventory manually (one-by-one or in bulk) or source products from your e-commerce platform of choice (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc).
    • The platform charges a 5% selling fee or a $0.40 fee on items costing $8 or less: merchants are responsible for setting their own shipping/return policies.
    • As of September 2021, Facebook Shops is only for selling physical products, so digital products and services are not yet available.

Who are Facebook Shops for?

    • Small businesses and merchants. Facebook Shops’ ease of use makes it ideal for business owners selling digitally for the first time.
    • Established e-commerce storefronts. Given how easy it is to upload your current inventory to Facebook, doing so is a no-brainer if you’re already selling online.
    • Brands with a thriving Facebook community. For example, Facebook Group owners can easily funnel trusted fans to their storefronts.
