Have you been waiting for the option to post directly from your computer to Instagram, instead of using the mobile app?
Well, that option is now here! Learn more about 5 updates from Instagram this week, plus check out other helpful resources (including tips on dealing with a Facebook account hack) below.
TechCrunch
Wow, what a list of updates from Instagram this week! Some are available now, others are being rolled out.
Here they are:
(1) 60-second videos for Stories, upload Reels clips to your Stories
(2) Collaboration feature for Feed posts and Reels; Invite other users to collaborate on a post or a Reel
(3) New Data Analytics – 3 new metrics added to Insights: Accounts engaged, Engaged audience, Reached audience
(4) Live-Stream Scheduling: Schedule your Live and users can get a reminder notification
(5) Post to Instagram from your computer
This may be the most helpful for you immediately, especially if you weren’t already using a third-party tool to post on Instagram.
You can now upload photos/videos from your computer to Instagram (no option for Stories as of this writing).
Look for the + icon on the desktop version of your Instagram account and then upload your photo/video.
You can trim/adjust your photo or video, add a filter, write a caption, and then post from your desktop.
Read the article from TechCrunch for more detail and let me know if you have questions about other options for posting and scheduling Instagram posts.
