(1) Resource of the Week
Social Media Image Sizes: A Quick Reference Guide for Each Network | Hootsuite
Using the right sizes for your images on each social platform is important to make the most out of your posts, and it can be challenging keeping up with changes.
So you can use this helpful resource as a reference when you’re creating/editing images for top sites like:
- Tumblr
- Google+
Also, keep in mind that many photo editors and apps have templates available for standard image sizes plus the option to create your own templates for custom sizes.
A few of my favorite tools include:
PicMonkey (desktop and mobile)
Canva (desktop and mobile)
Stencil (desktop)
Pablo by Buffer (desktop)
Typorama (mobile)
WordSwag (mobile)
and I just tested Hootsuite’s Enhance mobile app mentioned in their post.
All but PicMonkey also give you access to free stock photos that you can use without attribution. PicMonkey lets you upload your own images.
Creating eye-catching visuals can be time-consuming, so test a few tools, find the ones you like, and then put a system in place to manage your content creation.
