Twitter Communities Get Updates | Weekly Resources
If you’re interested in growing a community on Twitter, then you should learn more about their “Communities”.

1. Twitter Communities – Updates & Info
Twitter Communities are getting more updates, including a roll-out to Android devices this week.
So what are Twitter Communities?
Think of them as Twitter’s version of Facebook Groups.
The intention is to find like-minded accounts based on topics that interest you: tech, gardening, virtual reality, etc.
For example, I just got into the Wordle craze this week and joined a Twitter Wordle Community.
Other than a select number of open membership Communities, you can only join one by being invited by the Admin/Moderator.
It will be interesting to see if this policy changes, especially if Communities do not pick up steam on the platform as quickly as Twitter hopes.
How is Tweeting in a Community different than the regular Twitter experience?
They’ve explained it here:
“Once you join a Community, you can Tweet into it. This is different from Tweets to your followers as these Community Tweets will not be sent to your followers’ Home timelines. All Community Tweets (including Quote Tweets) will be visible within the Community, as well as injected into Home timelines of members. Community Tweets are not shown on your Twitter profile.”

Once you’ve joined a Community you’ll see a new “Communities” tab on the desktop sidebar display and at the bottom menu on your phone.
