Pinterest is rolling out a new profile for Business Accounts with some great new features! The new cover images lets you choose which Pins to highlight, and the monthly viewer count shares your “influence” on Pinterest with users.

Pinterest redesigns business profile pages with monthly viewer counts | Marketing Land

Quotable:

“…the monthly viewer count that will be displayed directly under a business’s name on its page gives businesses — and the people who visit their page — a glimpse of how far their influence extends on the site.”

How this helps business accounts:

  1. Highlight your top Pins (content) with a customizable cover image:

Your content options are

  • Latest Pins (most recent Pins you saved to your account
  • Recent Activity (Pins people have saved from your website and account
  • Pick a Board (Pins from any public board on your account)
  1. Show your influence to other users no matter what your Follower count

It can take a while to build up a large number of Followers, but on Pinterest, your content can end up being seen by many other users who choose not to follow you.

Displaying the “viewer count” right under your profile will let other users know that you’re sharing good content, and possibly entice them to engage with your Pins, follow you, follow your boards, or click through to your website.

Pro Tip: If you have a new account, create a Board that incorporates popular or trending content to quickly build up your monthly views.

For example, one of our newer Pinterest clients has less than 50 Followers but their monthly viewer count is 16,000!
