Marketing Quotes, Thoughts & Tips
Quote of the week:
“How you think about your customers influences how you respond to them.” Marilyn Suttle
So true, right? Your frame of mind comes through during your customer communications and service. Social media sites have made customer service easier: are you optimizing the tools on each of your social profiles to help?
One tool on Facebook is its messaging system (and how you can automate parts of it). Learn more about using messages, and getting a “very responsive to messages” badge on your page in this blog post on the company site: How to get the Very Responsive to Messages badge on your Facebook Page
Thoughts & Tips from Terry: Diversify your Digital Marketing
We’ve seen some big changes and events occurring on major platforms so far this year (and it’s only April!):
- Facebook’s data privacy concerns and subsequent changes for users and businesses alike
- Twitter’s new terms-of-service: no more duplicate Tweets (which meant tools took away evergreen content queues)
- Instagram shuttering access to their API (sooner than expected), which meant quite a few Apps stopped working
So you may be wondering what this all will mean for digital marketers.
- Is Facebook marketing dead?
- Should you abandon Facebook or Twitter?
- What can you do to make your clients/prospects stay with you on your social media sites?
When it comes to digital marketing, don’t put all your eggs in one (social media) basket!
Don’t rely on only one social media platform in today’s digital world.
If Facebook marketing is working well for you, then continue to do it (while following any and all of their rules and terms-of-service).
But also take the time to research and use at least one other platform this year. Which one should you pick?
Choose one where your target audience spends their time.
So…do you know what your top 2 social media platforms are for reaching your target audience?
If not, it’s time to do some research!
